The Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) participated today, Friday, in the inauguration ceremony of the Andorkhaan Airport development and expansion project in Mongolia, marking a new phase in the ongoing partnership between the State of Kuwait and the Republic of Mongolia.

Key Project Details:

1. Funding Commitments:

   • Airport Project Grant: 1.06 million Kuwaiti dinars (~$3.4 million USD) provided by the Kuwaiti government and supervised by KFAED

   • Feasibility Study Grant: 80,000 Kuwaiti dinars (~$262,000 USD) for technical and economic assessments

2. Strategic Vision:

   • Upgrade Andorkhaan Airport to ICAO Category 4C international standards

   • Align with Mongolia’s 2050 Sustainable Development Strategy

   • Enhance regional connectivity in Khentii Province and beyond
