Xiaomi is preparing to launch the Xiaomi 16 series in China by the end of September, to be one of the first phones to rely on the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 processor.

Over the past months, leaks have surfaced revealing basic details about the phones, but Xiaomi has officially confirmed that it plans to make major changes to this series.Lu Weibing, the company's president, revealed that the Xiaomi 16 series will come with extensive changes compared to the previous Xiaomi 15 phones, noting that these changes will include both product placement and definition.
