"The Kuwaiti charity 'Namaa Al-Khair' announced today, Monday, the distribution of hundreds of meals and food baskets to eligible families in Egypt as part of its 'Iftar for Fasting People' project during the month of Ramadan, in cooperation with the 'Misr El-Kheir' Foundation.
In a press statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), Khaled Al-Shammari, Director of the Relief Department at 'Namaa Al-Khair,' stated that the project included the distribution of 1,530 Ramadan food baskets in the governorates of Qena and Sohag in southern Egypt, in addition to distributing meals and fresh meat to ensure that eligible families receive comprehensive food supplies.
He added that the 'Iftar for Fasting People' project focuses on assisting residents of villages and the most needy areas, noting that the project in Egypt is part of a series of Ramadan initiatives implemented by 'Namaa Al-Khair' to support underprivileged families and alleviate their hardships during the holy month.
Al-Shammari explained that the project is a response to the call of humanitarian duty and embodies the values of social solidarity promoted by the noble Islamic religion. He praised the level of cooperation with the 'Misr El-Kheir' Foundation in the field of charitable work.
He also commended the efforts of the team and volunteers who contributed to delivering aid to eligible families in Qena and Sohag in Upper Egypt, easing the challenges of fasting for them."
